Poloz Architects tries to separate itself from systematic and mechanical thinking as it adheres more of an artistic and spiritual approach to architecture. Just as a story cannot be written only for the sake of it being a story, a structure cannot be designed only for the sake of it simply existing. A structure’s design, much as a written story, should have emotion, sensitivity, and braveness.
Poloz Architects design a structure in the form of a sculpture rather than bare geometric shapes. Paul N. Poloz says, “I want to create surprising architecture that may be some way irrational to traditional design, yet elegant and pleasant in the form of art. I don’t want to relate meaning to the design but try to create a new meaning within it.”
With acknowledgment to the surrounding environment, the structure’s purpose, and the developer’s needs, a design is produced that strives to be a visual statement as well as a bridge between our physical world and the infinite imagination.
